Guitars
When selecting a luthier to construct
your hand-crafted guitar, perhaps the question of how you see
your luthier is no more important than how your luthier sees
you.
Before I set out to build a new instrument,
I want to get to know the person who will be playing it. I don't
see you as simply a client or a customer, but as a fellow artist
and musician. That's why I like to engage in a life-to-life
dialogue with you before the first piece of wood is cut. I act
as a sounding board that can reflect your voice into a wooden
object that projects a range of tonal characteristics. Through
me, you'll be able to talk to the wood and ultimately draw your
unique music out of it. Each guitar represents the result of
a partnership between myself and the individual for whom it
is destined.
My connection to the community is
one that I feel deeply through art and music. My studio is conveniently
located in Southwest Minneapolis
and my hours are flexible, making it easy for you to stop by
during your commute or as an errand. This quiet neighborhood
with abundant parking represents the ideal setting for working
together to create the instrument of your dreams.
My focus is on building classical
guitars and steel string guitars, with a commitment to exacting
standards of craftsmanship, attention to detail, ecologically
sustainable materials, and taking the time to do things right.
You and I share the same goal: we both want you to have a unique,
high-quality instrument that becomes a part of who you are.
Together, we'll make it happen.
